NWJ Dumpster Rental Newark runs out of a yard on 615 Frelinghuysen Ave, in Newark's Ironbound industrial corridor near Newark Liberty International Airport. The company started after seeing the same pattern too often — missed drop-offs, confusing pricing, or poor communication right when someone needed help the most. So we do the opposite. One number that covers the job. A delivery window we actually hit. A person on the phone rather than a form on a website.
Newark sits at a genuine three-county meeting point worth knowing: most of our service area is in Essex County, but Elizabeth, Hillside and Union Township are in Union County immediately south, and Kearny and Harrison are in Hudson County just across the Passaic River. New Jersey has no unincorporated land anywhere in the state — every one of the 17 communities we serve is its own incorporated municipality with its own local government, and what changes town to town is access and density, not legal status. A tight Ironbound row-house lot behind an older multi-family building is a different job than an open new-construction lot out in Livingston, and real coastal New Jersey weather — a winter nor'easter and a remnant tropical-storm flash flood both bring down limbs or flood a basement with very little notice, in opposite seasons and opposite ways. Knowing which is which before the truck arrives is most of the job.
Whatever you are clearing — flood or storm debris, a family home, a new-construction site or a storm-damaged roof — the container exists for it. Call (862) 307-9238 and describe it in a sentence.

Twelve service lines out of one yard. Same containers, same flat pricing — what changes is how the load gets sized and what has to stay out of it.

How it works
Most bookings take under four minutes.
One short conversation. We ask what you are clearing, where the box needs to sit and when you need it, and how much room the driveway or lot gives us. No forms, no waiting on an email.
You get one number covering delivery, the rental period, pickup, disposal and a stated tonnage allowance. If a smaller box does the job we will say so.
The driver walks the spot with you and sets the container square on the driveway, lot or jobsite. If the surface needs protection we will say so before we set it down.
Keep it level with the top rail and keep the banned items out. Need a swap mid-job or an early pickup? One call and we are on it.
Clean concrete, metal and yard debris get routed for recovery rather than landfilled where we can. You get your driveway or lot back the way you left it.
Local knowledge
There is a difference between covering an area and knowing it. We know which Ironbound and Elizabeth streets fill up on trash day, which suburbs have their own strict right-of-way permit process, what a narrow multi-family Newark lot can and cannot take, and what Rt 1&9 traffic near the airport is doing on a given afternoon.
Our service area page lists every town we cover, grouped by county, and how close each one is to the yard, and each town has its own page covering access, housing stock and the local rules we run into.

Why us
The phone rings at 615 Frelinghuysen Ave in the Ironbound, close to Newark Liberty International Airport and the Rt 1&9 corridor. Whoever picks up knows the difference between a tight Ironbound row-house lot and a wide-open new-construction site out in Livingston.
Delivery, the rental period, pickup, fuel, disposal and a stated tonnage allowance in a single number. If your load looks like it will go over, we say so before the truck leaves the yard.
Call early and most Newark, Elizabeth and Ironbound orders go out the same day. Farther towns like Livingston or Montclair are usually next-day — honestly, and in advance.
Boards go under the rails on every driveway as standard, and the driver will tell you before delivery if a tight Ironbound row-house lot, a narrow alley, or a new-construction site needs a different approach.
Weight fills a container long before volume does. If a 10 yard is the honest answer for your concrete load, that is what we will quote you.
This part of New Jersey sits in a real coastal storm track — nor'easters that bring down trees and power lines on one end of the year, and remnant tropical-storm flash flooding, the kind that hit Newark hard in September 2021, on the other. We size jobs for both, from a downed-limb cleanup to a flooded-basement gut-out.

Credentials
Straightforward, checkable facts about who you would be working with — no invented star ratings or reviews.
Fully insured for general liability and commercial auto. A certificate of insurance goes to your property manager, general contractor or builder on request, usually the same day.
NWJ Dumpster Rental is locally owned and still runs out of one yard. The number on this page reaches the Newark yard, not an answering service in another state.
Close to the yard across the Ironbound, Newark and Elizabeth, and out across the rest of Essex, Union and Hudson counties. We tell you honestly which runs are same-day and which are next-day before you book, not after.
Clean concrete, scrap metal and yard debris get routed for recovery rather than buried wherever the local facilities allow it — good practice, not a state mandate here.

Service area
We run roll-off containers out of our Ironbound-area yard on 615 Frelinghuysen Ave to all seventeen communities we cover across three counties — Newark itself and the rest of Essex County, plus Elizabeth, Hillside and Union Township just south in Union County, and Kearny and Harrison just across the Passaic River in Hudson County. Newark, Elizabeth, Hillside and the Ironbound are usually same-day; the farther Essex County suburbs and the Hudson County towns are more often next-day. If your address is not listed, call anyway. We likely still get there.
Answers
Most jobs run roughly $350 to $750, depending on the container size, how dense the debris is, how long you keep it and how far out the delivery address is — every job is genuinely different, so that is a general range, not a quote. What matters more is how the price is built. Ours is a flat rate covering delivery, the rental period, pickup and disposal, so the figure you are quoted is the figure you pay. Call with a short description of the job and you will get a firm number on that call, not a callback.
Near the yard in the Ironbound and South Newark — Elizabeth and Hillside included — a morning call is often a same-day delivery. Farther towns in our service area — Livingston, Montclair and similar — usually run next-day rather than same-day. Jobsite swap-outs get priority over new deliveries, because a full container stops a crew working.
It depends on where the container sits. On your own driveway, curb apron or job site — private property — no permit is required. If the container has to sit in the public right-of-way, a street or sidewalk, you may need a temporary permit from the City of Newark, and we can help walk you through that process. Our permit guide covers the pattern across the rest of the service area.
Paint, solvents, oils, tires, batteries, hazardous chemicals, gas cylinders, propane tanks and medical waste are never allowed in a roll-off. That list applies everywhere we deliver — it is the material that gets pulled and charged back if it turns up in a load.
A loaded roll-off is heavy, and boards go under the rails as standard on every placement to spread that weight out. Tell us if the surface is anything other than a standard concrete or asphalt driveway — a narrow Ironbound alley, a shared driveway, or a newer pour — and we will talk through the right approach before the truck arrives.
Volume and weight are two separate limits and the material decides which one stops you first. Household clear-outs and construction offcuts run out of space, so size up. Concrete, brick, tile and landscape rock run out of weight with the box barely a third full, so size down and fill it part way. The 20 yard suits most whole-project jobs; the 10 yard is the right answer for anything heavy.
Yes, all 17 towns we cover across three counties — Newark and the rest of Essex County, plus Elizabeth, Hillside and Union Township in Union County, and Kearny and Harrison in Hudson County. Distance is real, so a Livingston or Montclair run is scheduled next-day rather than same-day and is not priced identically to a Newark or Elizabeth delivery. We tell you both things on the phone before anything is booked.
This part of New Jersey has two genuinely busy stretches worth planning around: nor'easter season, roughly November through March, when high winds and heavy wet snow bring down trees and power lines with very little notice, and hurricane/tropical-storm remnant season, roughly August through October, when a storm's remnants moving up the coast can dump flash flooding on basements and low-lying streets the way Ida did across Newark in September 2021. The spring-through-fall building and renovation season runs on top of both. Outside those windows, contractors are more available and containers are easier to schedule. If your job has to run during a busy window, book as far ahead as you can.
